A person with an effective system for learning kanji?

I will read: kun readings on, the traces of character using paper calc 10 times, copied 10 times, write to the memory 10 times, repeat from the beginning to get the right, then copy example sentences. How do you learn yours? Other ideas? PS I'm studying Japanese, and ending with the well-upholstered walls of my Kanji, shoji, as I suppose. They do not appreciate the advice and insurance.

My teacher made me kind of do the same, except that I do draw the character to write a block at the moment. Type the onyomi Kun. Add character to six times. After writing a sentence containing the kanji. All this was done in a book masu (マス). Now, when I discover a new kanji I do not know, I write on my calendar and incorporate it into my day much as I can.
