Lennon said: Give Peace A Chance
He dreamed of global peace. He was an artist, poet and an honest voice of the hippie generation. He was an influential musician, peace activist, an absent father and a loving and devoted husband. He abused alcohol and drugs, sneered at normality, but he took a break from her rock and roll on the run raising your child. More importantly, he was a Beatle. It was and still is, John Winston Lennon.
Born in Liverpool October 9, 1940, John Lennon was shot dead December 8, 1980, by a fanatic. December 8, 2005 marks the 25th anniversary of this tragic and senseless loss.
There are many words to describe John Lennon. He was a rebellious, stubborn and disobedient young difficulties. Failed to art school, but promised his aunt that "one of these days I'll be famous and you 'll be sorry.
He called himself a leader, but some of his best work alone. There was an alleged wife beater, frankly, often means communication contoversial putting quotes or to make a point or simply to be implausible. But when he spoke, people listened.
Has been associated with his childhood friend, Paul McCartney, and they were writing a musical partnership and a legacy unparalleled in this day and can never be. The Beatles, with producer George Martin, music has changed drastically, study techniques that had never been tried.
They pioneered the concept album "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band ", where editors from the list of Rolling Stone magazine as the best rock album of the rock era.
His attention of our government with their demonstrations against the war and at one point was being investigated by the FBI. He sings about love, peace and live in harmony with all people grouped into one. Some called him a genius. He could be cruel, vindictive and petty. He fought his demons and it seems that earned up to December 8, 1980.
We can only remember your race from start to finish and does not know the story of four lads from Liverpool. He formed the band that changed rock and roll history.
We can only wonder what John Lennon would have done if he alive today. What would be active in promoting world peace? Would you continue to create beautifully crafted songs of rock and roll? All you can do is imagine, and that is the shame of it all.
