Car Seat shopping 2nd stage or 3rd stage?

we are going to be getting the next car seat for my daughter who is a little over 18 lbs and 10 months old. Graco – Nautilus 3-in-1 Multi-Use Car Seat, Matrix Bravo i saw this one when looking around at walmart and i really like that it becomes a booster seat and all that. anyone have one and have any input on this or something you really like.

oh thanks i just assumed it was able to face backward but of course before buying i would do alot more reasearch.

You want one that rear faces longer. This one forward faces only, highback booster and then a backless booster.

So going from that, get one of these: http://babyproducts.about.com/od/carseats/tp/topconvcarseats.htm

Also, remember that it’s ILLEGAL to turn Your Baby FF until they are 1 year AND 20lbs. But it’s 500% safer to keep her rear facing.

Edit: Just to add. A child’s progression to the next seat isn’t something to force, or look forward to. Each time your child progresses to the next stage seat (forward facing, booster etc), the risks of severe injury or death in an accident increase. Generally it’s better to keep your child RF until 35lbs, in a 5 point harness until 6yo, and in a (highback) booster until 4″9.
Broken legs = cast it.
Broken neck = casket.
