alternative schedule for newborn baby checks?

hi all- i’m trying to write an article about newborn well-child checks and i’m looking for a different view point on how many are recommended. i already know the traditional # (birth, 2-4 days after birth, etc). i am having a hard time finding a different recommendation…either less or more appointments. it needs to be from a reliable source. everything i have found has said the same thing. anyway, does anyone know of an alternative schedule for well-baby checks (not the alternative vaccine schedule) that is from a doctor or midwife? a website or book that i could reference is ideal…thanks!
thanks haruhi, that makes me hopeful that there is something out there. unfortunately, i have to cite the source of the info, so i do need it written or stated somewhere=)

Hmm, I will be on the lookout for a website. I do not have any official articles or websites, but my pediatrician told us that since we were not doing vaccinations, that we did not need to have any well baby visits. He recommended weighing and measuring at home, and coming in if we have any concerns, but said that the well-baby visits would not be necessary.
